Phase Composition of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles Studied Using Hard X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy

چکیده

At the surface of iron oxide nanoparticles, an oxidized or disordered layer is often found. Due to large surface-to-volume ratio nanomaterials, such a plays important role in overall magnetic properties particles. Consequently, it characterize if applications e.g., for hyperthermia, particle imaging, ferrofluidics, are envisaged. In this work, we tuned phase 14 nm nanoparticles via annealing procedures. The composition particles systematically studied using hard X-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Evaluation of X-Ray Absorption by Ointment Containing Bismuth Oxide Nanoparticles in Radiology Staff

Introduction: The effects of X-rays on carcinogens have been proven in recent years. Today, lead is used in many devices such as lead covers, thyroid protectors to protect the body against x-rays. But this equipment contains many disadvantages such as, Toxicity, High weight and Lack of flexibility. Today, newer methods, such as semi-solid skin care products (cream, ointment), a...

X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy Using X–ray Fluorescence Spectrometer

Strong characteristic Kα X-ray lines are accompanied by weak lines due to the radiative Auger effect (RAE) [1, 2]. The characteristic Kα fluorescent X-rays (K-L2,3 lines) are emitted by the 2p→1s electric dipole transition after one of the 1s electron photoionization, Though the probability is less than 0.01, one of the 2p electrons is excited into an unoccupied discrete or continuum level simu...

High-resolution X-ray absorption spectroscopy of iron carbonyl complexes.

We apply high-energy-resolution fluorescence-detected (HERFD) X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (XANES) to study iron carbonyl complexes. Mono-, bi-, and tri-nuclear carbonyl complexes and pure carbonyl complexes as well as carbonyl complexes containing hydrocarbon ligands are considered. The HERFD-XANES spectra reveal multiple pre-edge peaks with individual signatures for each complex, w...

X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy

X-ray absorptioń spectroscopy, today widely used as a tool for structural investigations, is described. Theoretically it is shown that above an absorption edge the absorption coefficient is well approximated by a sum of terms, each one describing a particular path followed by the photoelectron outgoing from the atom. Such geometrical feature allows to use X-ray absorption spectroscopy for struc...
